Army Men: Sarge’s Heroes for the Nintendo 64 has this cool nod to its respective platform on the second-to-last level of the game.

Underneath the Christmas tree, next to all the wrapped gifts is a brand new N64 for whatever lucky kid lives in that house.

I’d never reached this level as a kid so seeing this for the first time brought back those warm feelings of getting my N64 for Christmas in ‘99.

Also pretty cool to see “cameos” from Mario, Bowser and Fulgore from Killer Instinct. Notice that the Stormtrooper featured on the original box art is absent here - showing that even back in 1999, Star Wars licensing was a legal landmine no one wanted to step on.

(Also, dig my CRT TV screenshots!)

A Nightmare on Elmstreet for NES.

I don’t understand what datamining is because I’m simple, but whatever it means, it means someone found Garfield in Nickelodeon All Star Brawl. He’s not complete however, but the files indicate his inclusion in future DLC.

Look, I’m not buying this until Doug or Quail Man is involved. Don’t give me that crap about licensing, Doug was an OG Nick Toon and belongs there. You have room on your roster for garbage like Loud House characters but no love for Doug MF'ing Funnie?

I had the same issue with Cartoon Network’s attempt at a Smash-style game - who’s going to buy a Cartoon Network fighter without Ed Edd n Eddy?

If you can’t go all in, don’t go at all.
